Odds & Ends

Here are some pics of flower market, Ping River, Cats, etc..... Street Lady in China Town, China Town fabric shops, a bicycle rickshaw (no never ridden in one) Store with dozens and dozens of small shops that sell a little bit of everything AND I mean every "ting"! This is a pretty time of year as all the trees are in blossom..... Tour boat on Ping River And lots of fresh flowers in the Flower Market Yes, more cat pics taken in the park last Sunday.There is a breed of cat in Thailand that has a short tail! Spirit House - I think my next project is going to be to take pics of all the "spirit houses" I see on my walks! I gave a class one night at the house to some college students on how to mix cocktails and they gave me this nice fruit basket. I guess this is the Thai version of an "apple for the teacher"! They are taking a class in hotel & restaurant management. One day they learned how to wash cars??? Still have not figured out that one yet. Maybe if

Huay Tung Tao

Arriving at our "hut" to pick out our "table". This is view of lake and the huts are free! Each comes with straw mats and table. Huay Tung Tao is a large area with woodland and a huge lake. It’s popular and mostly used for running and bicycling for many locals from Chiang Mai and a few Tourists. Around the Lake at Huay Tueng Tao are many Restaurants which have the tables on cosy bamboo floats and huts with a great view over Huay Tung Tao Lake. Some Thai locals come for fishing, picnic or to worship to Buddha statue next to the lake of this nature reservoir near Chiang Mai in Thailand. Everyone ordering their favorite dish for lunch. Aod's sister's were visiting from Chiang Rai and "Boy" is a friend of ours. Park is very quiet and relaxing as NO JET SKIES! The wildest sport on the lake is peddling White Swans around the lake. More shots of huts around the lake. It is the end of the rainy season and the lake is very low. The park is in the foothil
