                                          Off To Singapore - 2019 Singapore a 3 hour flight direct from Chiang Mai. It is the cleanest most modern city I have ever seen.  Oh yes, also the most expensive city in the world! Singapore marks its sixth straight year at the top of the rankings, and is joined there by Hong Kong and Paris. A beer can cost as much as $18 (glad I don't drink beer) mixed drink can be $25.00. So bought 2 drinks in 4 days - $40.00.....  Restaurants prices can be out of site too!  Very easy to spend $300-400. for 2 people.                                                   Arrived at 10 p.m. - view from hotel   Venturing out to see the neighborhood     Merlion -  The symbol of Singapore a mythical creature with a lion's head and the body of a fish.  Singapore started out as a  fishing village and became known as the "Lion City". Udon Thani, Thailand

                             Udon Thani                           388 miles Chiang Mai to Udon                               March 16 - 19 2018, flew to Udon Thani - flight time a little over an hour....   Udon is home to one of the world’s earliest bronze-age civilizations, at Ban Chiang. Archaeological evidence – earthenware pottery and bronze fragments – unearthed here suggest that the prehistoric settlements existed between 2100BC and 200AD. Other ancient structures and artifacts are also found inside Phu Phra Baht Historical Park. Here, rising amidst a vast sandstone mountain are peculiar rock formations, as well as dinosaur foot prints, cave paintings and Buddhist structures.
