Xi'an, China City - Muslim Quarters - 2014

A very large city, 10 million people, and clean city, except for the restrooms!  Don't know what the Chinese have against keeping them clean.  Most were really gross! Very little English even in the tourist areas.....

                                                               Muslim Quarter
                                                  Night time in the Quarter

                                            Walnuts

                                   Fruits, nuts & veggies

Narrow alley ways selling copies of brand name clothes, hand bags, and watches etc. etc. etc...........

Strange dessert - not much flavor and texture of jelly candy

                                                           City & City Wall

Xi'an goes back over 7,000 years and was the beginning of the Silk Road......

                           Large Shopping Mall

View of City from the Wall

                            Xian City Wall.

It's the most complete city wall that has

survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient

military defensive systems in the world.

The wall stands 12 meters (40 feet) tall, 12-14 meters

(40-46 feet) wide at the top and 15-18 meters (50-60 feet)

thick at the bottom. It covers 13.7 kilometers (8.5 miles) in

length with a deep moat surrounding it.
